I went down to the retail store instead, and found out there is nothing they can do until their systems are back up. Since the phone is locked, I have no way to call Verizon Support. The only way to unlock the phone now is to enter a PUK code, which Verizon does not give you when you buy your phone. Wanted to avoid going to the store if I could.

I called tech support but they seemed very confused. I want to lock down my phone more but only get 3 attempts before it bricks. I entered (read: tried to create) a password twice, and BAM. Anyone know if VZW uses a standard default SIM PIN for iPhones 1234 or 0000 for example. it already has a default password, and was asking me to enter that. Helped me too 0 Likes Re: My SIM card got locked lillianjane Newbie 06-17-2019 03:09 PM 0 Likes An Unexpected Error has occurred. Linote The default PIN and PUK key display once link is clicked.

Click My PIN and Unblocking Key (PUK) (located on the right in the About My Device section). I thought the phone was asking me to enter (read: create) the password for the SIM card, but nope. Navigate: My Verizon > My Device > View All. Timely that I would decide this morning to try and set up a password for my SIM card. This mistake is costing me a lot of frustration and wasted time.Īpparently, Verizon Wireless today is having some kind of customer service database problems for the past two hours and basically can't do anything.
